A one vehicle crash in Osage County last night has left a Lyndon man with serious injuries. Just after 10:00 last night. a vehicle driven by 26 year old Jericho Mayfield, of Lyndon, was traveling east on K-268 Highway, near milepost 3, when it left the roadway for an unknown reason. It entered a field and overturned several times before coming to rest on its top. Mayfield was ejected from the vehicle.
Mayfield was transported to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, with serious injuries. Two children were also injured. Twelve year old Ava Marks from Gardner and 14 year old Madison Boley from Lyndon, were transported to Advent Health Ottawa for less serious injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
