The Ottawa Public Works Department was one of several departments to appear before the City Commission to present their budget requests for the new fiscal year. Public Works Director, Michael Haeffele says the Street Improvement budget needs to be increased:
Haeffele says the Sidewalk Improvement Program helps homeowners improve sidewalks in front of their home. He says for years, hardly anyone used it, but this year, quite a number of homeowners have participated.
