One of the goals the City of Osawatomie has, is to provide housing of all types for people residing in the City. City Manager, Mike Scanlon, says for a time, Osawatomie had trouble attracting people to build new homes:
He adds that they plan on allowing people to build so called “Mother-In-Law” dwellings and other types of structures. The City is also finishing up its Housing Assessment Tool and it will be available soon.
