Friends of the Library was started 47 years ago by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to provide books for the public and to raise funds for the library. Recently the Ottawa City Commission recognized the groups efforts over the years with an Official Proclamation outlining those efforts. Ottawa Library Director, Terry Chartier, accepted and gave thanks.
The Friends of the Library is housed at 209 East 2nd Street.
