Kansas! magazine received a Gold Award for its cover titled “Kansas Trailblazer” at the 41st Annual International Regionl Magazine Association (IRMA) Awards Presentation. The illustrated cover, published in Fall 2020, was an original are piece created by Lawrence artists, Angie Pickman. In addition to Gold, Kansas! won three Silver Awards and an Award of Merit for the wiritng and design work of issues published during the magazine’s 75th Anniversary year.
Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce, David Toland, says the awards show the depth of talent in Kansas! writers and the magazine does a great job inspiring Kansans to explore and celebrate the state.
Kansas Tourism Director, Bridgette Jobe says Kansans who subscribe to the publication are passionate fans of the state and enjoy digging a little deeper into the people and places that make Kansas special.
