Osage County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have been conducting an investigation regarding the online solicitation of a child by an adult and it has led to an arrest. Tuesday, Osage County Investigators and Jefferson County Deputies arrested 39 year old Marcus Smith of Effingham in Ozawkie, on an Osage County Arrest Warrant. Smith was transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he was held on the warrant.
Osage County Sheriff, Chris Wells, says that yesterday afternoon Osage County Deputies transported Smith to the Osage County Jail Facility where he is being held on a Warrant, alleging charges of Electronic Solicitation and Indecent Solicitation of a Minor. The Osage County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
