A new Electric Vehicle Charging Station could be coming to the Ottawa area, if a proposal by K-DOT goes through. The Kansas Department of Transportation would like to install 12 new charging stations along the States most travelled highways. The request for proposals is the next step toward administering approximately $2 million of the State’s allocation of Volkswagen Mitigation Trust Funds dedicated to the installation of DC Fast Charging Stations. One of the proposed charging stations would be on I-35 at Ottawa.
