Unless serious objections are raised, the statues on the Franklin County Courthouse lawn may be headed for disposal. During a discussion by the Franklin County Commission about the poor condition of the statues, Commission Chair, Colt Waymire, offered his opinion:
County officials are conferring with the Historical Society and other interested parties before any action is taken.
