U. S. Agriculture Imports have hit a record high. Forecasters had predicted $157 billion in imports this past fiscal year, but imports increased to $163 billion. USDA Economist Mark Kenner tells us why:

He adds that interest in many types of tropical fruits and nuts grown only in other climates is on the rise and, as people become more concerned about their health, he expects those demands to continue to rise.
