Christmas 2021 is coming quicker than a lot of people realize or maybe want it to; but, that also means awesome things are coming to Garnett soon. Chamber of Commerce officials are planning a Season Shopping Kickoff in a couple weeks with the Annul Garnett Christmas Parade and the Celebration of Small Business Saturday. This year’s 50th Annual Christmas Parade and Lighting Ceremony will be November 27th at 6:30. The theme this year is “Golden Christmas Memories: 50 Years of Joy” Parade Grand Marshalls for this year’s parade are Pastor at First Christian Church in Garnett, Chris Goetz, his wife Natasha and family.
Saturday is also Small Business Saturday, promoting and supporting small local business first, before shopping out of town or online. For every dollar spent at a small business, 67 cents remains in the community, allowing local businesses to support local schools, groups, expand their business, hire more employees and much more.
