Thanks to an outpouring of generosity from businesses and community members, a free Thanksgiving meal for anyone wanting it, is available Thursday. It’s the Third Annual Community Meal. Julie Riggins, of the Goat Mild Soap Store, says the meal was something God laid on her heart and it got bigger and bigger. She tells us a bit more about it:
Community members and sponsors came through big time this year. American Eagle donated all the turkeys, Ottawa University is providing all the rolls, Shawn Markley donating all the pies and the Farm Bureau made a cash donation of $875 yesterday to help with expenses. Another sponsor is Westminster Presbyterian Church. The free Thanksgiving meal is available to everyone, regardless of need and will be served from 11:00 to 1:00 Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, at the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium.
