The Ottawa City Commission’s move to consider repealing a City Ordinance banning pit bulls may have already run into early opposition. During the Commission’s Study Session, yesterday, Richard Oglesby showed up to tell Commissioners about an incident on his property involving a pit bull attack on his grandson’s dog:
In the Ordinance under consideration, the current ban on pit bulls would be repealed and the whole issue lumped into an existing ordinance which bans vicious dogs. The pit bull issue is expected to be considered over a period of several weeks before any action is taken, if indeed anything changes.
