It’s turkey time! A lot of people are looking forward to cooking a big ol’ bird for a huge feast on Thanksgiving. The turkey is thawed, so now, the only thing left is to wash it real good to get all the bacteria off, right? Not so, says Frontier District Extension Agent, Chelsey Richmond:

She adds, to make sure it is completely thawed before cooking. That will take 24 hours for every five pounds of bird, in the refrigerator. Haven’t started? Better get to it.
