It’s still over a week away, but be prepared for some Christmas Spirit in Miami County. Osawatomie’s Miracle on Main Street will kick off the holiday season with a day of activities Saturday, December 4th, in Downtown Osawatomie. The Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce and City of Osawatomie are collaborating to present an all day affair from 11:00 that morning to 6:00 that evening. Features include free pictures with Santa, a vendor fair, Christmas tree lighting, the Band of Oz, the Paola School of Dance, raffle prizes and other activities. The Annual Lighting of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Ceremony will be at 5:00 in front of City Hall. The reading of ” ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” will immediately follow the tree lighting.
Holiday Magic on Broadway is coming to Downtown Louisburg on December 5th. The headline attraction will be a visit with Santa Claus for the kids and the Grinch will also be on hand for family photo opportunity. The evening will cap off with the Mayor’s Christmas tree lighting at 6:00, then Santa will lead a lighted parade before jetting off to the North Pole.
