The Frontier Extension District will host an informational meeting on Old World Bluestem tonight. Extension District Agent, Rod Shaub, the co-host of the event, says there will be three speakers tonight. What is Old World blue Stem? Schaub explains:
He adds it can be controlled, but control becomes progressively more difficult and expensive the longer the grass is allowed to grow and spread.
Speakers will include K-State Range Management Specialist, Dr. Walt Fick, Kansas Department of AG, Scott Mars and Schaub will team with K-State Forage Specialist Bruno Pedreira. The meeting is tonight at 7:00 at the Osage City Community Building.
