The Franklin County Commission and Franklin County Historical Society may be close to working out their differences on a lease that would allow the Historical Society to move to the Visitors’ Center. Society Executive Director, Diana Staresinic-Deane, says one of their last requests is for some flooring on the second floor:
Under terms of the five year lease, the Historical Society would pay the County $1,200 a year rental, with the right to renew up to three times with each term lasting five years; or to put it another way, the Society would like to lease the Visitors’ Center for up to 20 years.
