The Garnett City Commission has awarded $1,000 Grants to five new events coming to town in 2022. Those events include “At the Walker” hosted by the Walker Art Committee. It will be held November 12th at the Rustic Rock Event Venue and include a silent art auction, live art auction, wine tasting from local vineyards and more.
“Laugh, Laugh, Love” hosted by the Garnett Business and Professional Women will take place in May and be a night of comedy, including entertainment by Anderson County’s own Lindy Katzer and a headlining comedian, to be announced soon, at the Chamber Players Community Theatre.
Garnett’s Home and Garden Expo, hosted by Growing Garnett Community Heart and Soul, will feature everything about home improvements and gardening. There will be featured speakers on home remodeling projects and creating gardens, at Anderson County Fairgrounds on April 2nd.
“Faith In Blue” hosted by Hope Anthem Church, will give the public a chance to connect with local first responders who will answer questions relevant to the community. It will be October 2nd on the Town Square and Courthouse Lawn.
The Antique Engine and Tractor Show will be hosted by the Anderson County Flywheelers. The show features working stationary engines and all types of farm equipment on display. It will be held in early Fall at the Fairgrounds.
