A condemned house at 418 West First Street in Ottawa is the focus of a last ditch attempt to save the structure. The Ottawa City Commission approved condemning the house for demolition. A church group is trying to figure out a way to help the owner do necessary repairs. Local contractor, Rudy Manes stepped up to offer his help:
The other houses put on the Condemnation List include ones at 832 North Main, 119 East 8th, 623 West 5th and one at 317 South Sycamore.
