The Chamber Community Players are hosting a benefit for “Hope and Love of the Laity Fund”, raising money to build a new hall at Scipio. A severe thunderstorm severely damaged the Parish Hall of the St. Boniface Catholic Parish in June and was beyond repair. The Chamber Players will be presenting Christmas skits at the Garnett Knights of Columbus Hall this afternoon at 12:30. Come hungry because, with your ticket, you get a great lunch of poor man’s steak, mashed potatoes a veggy and dessert. You can get tickets at the Goeppert State Service Bank in Garnett.
This evening, there will be a chili and soup supper with homemade cinnamon rolls, from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Welda Community Building. It’s sponsored by the Welda Methodist Church, for a freewill offering. There will be a silent auction for themed baskets.
