Former Kansas Senator Bob Dole is being remembered as a Key Stateman. He may be best known as a Champion of Rights for the disabled, spurred by his injuries in World War II. He was also well respected in the agricultural world. USDA’s Rod Bain, on Doles legacy in AG:
Dole will lie in state at the U. S. Capital Rotunda on Thursday. There will be a State funeral Friday at the Washington National Cathedral. Saturday, he will be brought home to Kansas. Funeral arrangements in Kansas have yet to be announced.
