The southeast Kansas Multi County Health Department, that encompasses Anderson, Allen, Bourbon and Woodson Counties, will update the latest COVID numbers in the area later today. As of last week at this time, Anderson County had 47 active cases of COVID in the County. Surrounding counties varied from Allen County with 117 to Woodson County with only 17. Franklin County reported 16 active cases as of Wednesday.
Officials continue to stress the importance of wearing a mask in large gatherings, social distance, use good hygiene and stay home if you feel sick. Testing continues in most counties and COVID 19 vaccines, both the primary series and the booster shot are available at the Anderson County locations.
