The USDA is out with the highly anticipated Pandemic Assistance Program. They are making $700 million available for direct payments to biofuel producers. Dr. Karama Neil, who runs the USDA’s Rural Business Cooperative Service explains the program:
Biofuel producers collectively lost over $4.4 billion dollars because of the pandemic. The USDA is making another $100 million dollars available for grants, to expand and availability of higher blends of biofuels, gasoline and diesel.
