The trials of the Ottawa Main Street Association were raised during the regular Ottawa City Commission Study Session yesterday. Up for consideration was the Annual Funding Agreements with Community Partners, which includes Main Street. Commissioner Emily Graves had a question for Acting Main Street Association Director, Cal Lantis:
Lantis says the state official was there to help the Main Street Board with their communication and leadership skills. He says the State Main Street Association is launching a new program designed to help local associations measure how effective they are in various facets, and working with this new program should help strengthen the skills of the current Ottawa Main Street Organization. The funding agreement is expected to be on the City Commission’s Wednesday Agenda. Funding appears uncertain at this time.
