A new vaping policy has been instituted by the Ottawa School Board that puts more emphasis on trying to get students to stop vaping instead of just punishment for the offense. During the Regular School Board Meeting, Board Member, Malydia Payne and School Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs had an exchange about the legal status of vaping:
The Board also discussed installing vaping sensors in rest rooms, but school officials say so far, other districts that have used them have found them unreliable.
