The nominations are in for the Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet and Garnett citizens had many they wanted to recognize. Business of the Year nominees are Beckman Motors, the City of Garnett, East Kansas Agri Energy, Anderson County Hospital, Short Stop, Garnett Flower and Gifts, Monroe 816, Toddy’s Back Porch, Garnett Home Center and Rentals, Faith and Photography, Guest Home Estates and Yutzi Custom Structures. Organization of the Year nominees are the Garnett Lions Club, Garnett BPW, the Chamber Players Community Theatre, the Anderson County Fair Board and Hope Anthem Church.
Volunteer of the Year nominees are John Helms, Rose and Darin Ellis, the First Christian Church Care Team, Joyce Martin, Dan and Loretta Coltraine, Paula and Jason Sjolund, the City of Garnett Employees, Burke Rodgers and Wes Skillman.
The Chamber Champion nominees are Garnett Sonic, Monroe 816, Goppert State Service Bank, Toddy’s Back Porch and Auburn Pharmacy.
The Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony will be held January 27th at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Garnett.
