Two more nominees for the Annual Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce Awards. The Goeppert State Service Bank has been nominated as a Chamber Champion. The bank has been around since 1899. One thing the bank did during the pandemic is help businesses with the payday protection program, as well as the farming community. The bank is there to support youth, participate in activities and support numerous other special events in the Garnett area and the City of Garnett. They want to make a huge impact on the quality of life for people in the area.

Another Chamber Champion nominee is Monroe 816, a home styling boutique, specializing in restyled furniture and home décor. Owner Val Foltz believes in creating a comfortable, friendly and welcoming environment. During the pandemic, they offered window and virtual shopping, curbside pickup and free local delivery. They also initiated Facebook Live Coffee Talks and made a commitment to be more active on social media, making a positive impact of the community.

The awards banquet is set for tomorrow night.
