We all know that food prices increased at record pace last year. this year they are expected to continue to rise, but at a slower pace. USDA Matt MacLachlan says food in the store went up 3 1/2% last year ad the year before. He gives us a breakdown on what to expect for groceries and at restaurants this year:

So, get ready to budget more money for food for the family and, if you plan on eating out a lot, look for sharp increases at your favorite restaurants.
