COVID cases hit an all time high in Franklin County 10 days ago at 844 and this week there was a dramatic drop in cases. According to the Franklin County Health Department, the case count is down to 493, with 325 new cases reported. According to data released on Friday, Ottawa had the vast load of those with 309 cases, Wellsville with 39 Pomona with 39, Richmond with 31, Princeton with 26 and scattered other cases throughout the County. However, last week Communications Director Kaci Brady told commissioners they expect numbers could be higher as more and more people are using home test kits and not reporting positive results to the Health Department.

County Commissioner, Iann Dickenson, says she knew of one family where a person tested positive and reported it, then all the other family members tested positive, but did not report it.
