The weather is getting ready to change for the worse, tonight and into tomorrow. Being prepared for the weather is very important. Officials say if you don’t have to be on the road tonight, don’t be. National Weather Service Meteorologist, Adam Jones, says no matter how much snow we get, conditions will still be very dangerous:
There is going to be a short period where the rain could turn into freezing rain before changing to snow. A layer of ice under the snow is going to make it even more treacherous. If you have to be out, slow down, take your time and be aware of changing weather conditions; not only tonight, but on you way to work or school in the morning.
A Winter Storm Warning goes into affect at 9:00 this evening for the entire KOFO listening area.
