The Osage County Sheriff’s office responded to a call of shots fired Sunday afternoon in Scranton. A short time later, a male subject arrived at a Topeka hospital with a gunshot wound. During the investigation, a suspect was identified, located and arrested. That man, 45 year old Charles Meade of Topeka, was arrested and transported to the Osage County Jail on suspicion of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
The investigation is ongoing and Osage County Sheriff, Chris Wells, asks that if anyone has any information that could help in this investigation, to contact them immediately.
