Those of you traveling on K-68 in Miami County need to be aware of some major road work starting Monday. The Kansas Department of Transportation says the projects are in Miami County between U. S. 169 and U. S. 69. The projects include constructing turning lanes and access roads at various locations, widening K-68 to a four lane expressway from Spring Valley Road east to U. S. 69 at Louisburg, constructing left turn lanes at K-68 and Somerset Road and building an access road to the Louisburg Cider Mill on the north side of the highway.

K-Dot says speed will be reduced and driving lane restrictions of 11 feet will be in place. They don’t expect to have the projects complete until November of 2023. So, drivers in those areas, be aware of changes to your driving route starting Monday.
