This week is National FFA Week. FFA is the premier youth organization preparing members for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture. FFA stands for Future Farmers of America, but FFA is not just for students who want to be production farmers. The also welcome members who aspire to be teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more. As Ottawa High FFA teacher, Blake Lasely says–FFA is far more than cows, sows and plows! They continue to help the next generation rise up and meet the challenges, by helping its members develop their own unique talents and explore their interests in a broad range of agricultural career pathways.
