Osawatomie High School Principal, Jeff White, will retire at the end of the year and an experienced administrator and athletic director will take his place. The USD 367 School Board has approved the hiring of Justin Remington, who brings 17 years of public education with him. He is the Athletic Director for the Grandview School District. Remington has served as a physical education teacher, basketball coach, athletic director and high school principal during his career.
He says he is really looking forward to coming to Osawatomie. He’s been wanting to get back into instructional leadership and the principalship. When he saw the Osawatomie opening, he knew it was right for him, adding that the Trojan Pride in the school and the community is a great atmosphere. Remington says in his first year at Osawatomie he hopes to engage in conversations to listen, learn and gain critical feedback and information to develop the future needs to make the school ready for the future.
