Crest High School will play host to a special youth business training program today, designed to teach kids about entrepreneurship. The competition will be at Crest High School in Colony. The public is invited to the event from 2:30 to 3:30 this afternoon. The event is organized by Anderson County’s E-Community Business Development Program.
Director of the Anderson County Development Agency, Julie Turnipseed, says Colony is one of many communities across Kansas to host a locally organized event designed to give students a hands-on entrepreneurial experience. This is the first time Anderson County E-Community has brought this competition to Anderson County.
The top students from each local competition, face off against each other for $1.500 in prize money and other honors. The 2022 Statewide Championship will be held April 28th at Kansas State University.
