The debate over removing the tax of food in Kansas continues in the Kansas Legislature. The question came up at the Legislative Coffee held in Ottawa on Saturday. Senator Caryn Tyson says one question they are dealing with is… what is defined as food?
She adds there are several variations of the Bill being discussed, from completely removing the tax to lowering it gradually over a few years, to keeping it to only meat, dairy and produce, or cutting it to a straight two percent.
