Some very tense moments yesterday afternoon as the Ottawa Police Department received a report that an 82 year old Ottawa woman had left her home earlier in the afternoon and had not returned home. Ottawa Police, Franklin County Sheriff and Ottawa Fire Department personnel, as well as two other local agencies and numerous Ottawa citizens, combed the streets and allies for several hours looking for Ema Neave, who suffers from a medical condition. The search was initially confined to the area around her home in the 600 block of West Fourth Street; however, it was expanded as she was not found. Finally, just after 5:30 yesterday afternoon, Ema was found in an open field south of 7th and Twyman, just behind Franklin County Historical Records building. Police and neighbors in the area were able to secure her safety. She was taken to Advent Health Ottawa to be checked for any possible injury.

A big thank you from the Ottawa Police Department for all those who helped in the search for her.
