Osawatomie recently revived its Tourism Committee in an effort to generate more people coming to the City. They will be responsible for the money collected from the transient guest tax, event sponsorships, donations an more. The City has decided to highlight what they are calling “Four Signature Events”. City Manager, Mike Scanlon, introduces the event chairpersons:
Osawatomie is also revitalizing its downtown area and pushing for more events on the Railtrail with hopes to bring more people into the downtown area.
