It looks like the Ottawa Fire Department may have found a way to buy a new fire truck in a more acceptable timeframe than the nearly two years they were told earlier. Fire Chief Tim Matthias gave an update to the City Commission:
The City Commission was expected to give their final ok to acquire the new fire truck at the regular meeting tomorrow. The new truck would replace a 1996 fire engine. Price of the new truck will be over $700,000.
