Paola Police Department Detectives are searching for a suspect in connection with the reported burglary of Miami Lumber on February 17th. According to a news release from the Paola Police Department, a white male, dressed in blue jeans and wearing a dark hoodie and mask, forced entry into Miami Lumber at 10:26 that night.
The suspect drove a dark colored SUV, possibly a late 1990’s or early 2000’s Toyota 4Runner. He shattered the front glass doors of the building to gain entry. Once inside he collected about $2,400 worth of Stanley “Fat Max” tape measures and Diablo Brand saw blades. He put the items into a brown tub he brought with him. The suspect was seen on video leaving the business and heading north on North Pearl Street at about 10:30.
