A former Miami County student, now at the University of Kansas, is one of ten students participating in the 2022 Kansas Undergraduate Research Days. This event is an opportunity for Undergraduate students at KU to share their research projects with State lawmakers as well as other researchers and students across Kansas. Shay Whiting, a senior in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from Paola, is presenting a project called “Effect of Stance in Squatting”.

The Kansas Undergraduate Research Day Website features posters and accompanying student videos describing the research projects. Visitors are able to comment and post questions for the student presenters. Students, faculty, state lawmakers and members of the public from across the State are invited to participate. The event is intended to raise awareness of research being conducted by Undergraduate students and to highlight the transformational educational opportunities available to students at each participating university.
