The deadliest aspect of severe weather season is flash flooding. Why? Most people fail to realize the force and power of water. Only six inches of fast moving flood water can knock you off your feet. Nearly half the deaths are vehicle related, people driving into flooded areas and being swept away. National Weather Service Meteorologist, Matthew Deplantis, has some tips to keep you safe from flash floods:
