An ongoing evaluation of the C & D Landfill in preparation for expanding the facility has yielded some surprisingly good results. Franklin County Public Works Director, David Lee, says there is more existing capacity than was first thought:
Previous estimates have indicated that expanding the landfill should add several more decades to its life before another landfill will have to be located.
