The cost of making storm sewer improvements on Cedar Street has gone up from original estimates and several thing account for that. Acting Ottawa Public Works Director, Dennis Tharp, says the targeted area has heavy traffic:
Officials say part of the increase in cost, from about half a million dollars to over $900,000, comes from street widening and mill and overlay.
The City Commission approved putting the project out for bid.
