An appeal from Hope House to the Franklin County Commission for $10,000 to help with the homeless problem, is among the Community Partners making their presentations during a Study Session. United Way of Franklin County Executive Director, Leigh Hanson, noted that she is personally involved in the homeless problem:
Officials say the homeless used to be transported to Douglas County for shelter, but it’s no longer possible to do that, given the number of homeless in Franklin County.
