The Franklin County Commission received a report from Advent Health Ottawa on how the sales tax money the County gives to the hospital, is used. Advent Health Ottawa CEO, Dallas Purkeypile, says much of the money last year went to charity care:
Purkeypile says any people on “charity care” have no medical insurance and in most cases, the patient bills are simply written off.
