The Annual Ottawa City Wide Spring Clean Up weekend is well underway. It started yesterday with dumpsters being placed in various locations around town for residents to put their junk in. they are available from 8:00 this morning until 3:00 this afternoon. They are located near the Franklin County Recycling Center, the parking lot west of City Hall and at the Salt Storage Shed on North Cherry. Tires will only be accepted at the North Cherry location, be sure to bring an ID. Absolutely no batteries and liquids are allowed to be put in the dumpsters. Oil based paints can be disposed of at the Franklin County Recycle Center. What, you forgot all about it and don’t have time to clean out your garage? There is an emphasis on cleaning the community well this year. During a recent Study Session, there were several comments about too much trash scattered around town and residents need to be more mindful about littering.
