Bringing new business and industry to a rural area can be a tough job. Not impossible by any means, but the key is being prepared and having a plan in place. Anderson County Economic Development Agency Director, Julie Turnipseed, says Anderson County is doing several things to be prepared:
She adds that they are starting programs in the schools to encourage students to become entrepreneurs and develop potential businesses that they could start and run in Anderson County, which would build a stronger work force.
