An injury accident in Osage County Saturday afternoon left an Olathe woman with serious injuries. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a vehicle, driven by 31 year old Ashley Payne, was traveling westbound on Highway 56 and attempted to pass an unrelated vehicle and as she did, she struck a vehicle traveling eastbound, driven by 59 year old Robin Lemke of Overbrook.
Payne was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment of injuries she sustained in the crash. A three year old passenger in Payne’s car was not injured in the crash. Lemke complained of pain, but was not transported to the hospital.
The crash is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
