The City of Ottawa formally presented a $2,000 donation to Hope House to help lodge the homeless in times of extreme cold or hear. During the Regular City Commission Meeting, Janice Schfeifer of Hope House accepted the donation:
Officials say, among other places, the homeless have been found living in Legacy Park and on the dike surrounding the City. Along with emergency shelter, officials try to find solutions to the circumstances that caused the homelessness in the first place.
