The USD 290 School Board approved a Financial Incentive Program designed to retain staff and keep them together. The program is based on the Districts approval of the Federal ESSER Three Funds to pay for the program. Superintendent Dr.. Ryan Cobbs says that if ESSER Three is approved, all staff, both classified and licensed, would receive a $1,500 retention fee:

Cobbs did emphasize that the incentives are dependent on the approval of the ESSER Three Funding. Licensed staff would receive a lump sum. Classified staff would receive their incentive quarterly, due to how they are contracted
